The stand of the host country Germany.travel occupied an important position being one of the central forums of communication and marketing. The Ministry of Tourism and Culture of Malaysia and the ITB Berlin Fair announced that the Southeast Asian nation will be the official partner country in the 2019 edition of the event.
Indonesia.travel: Wonderful Indonesia
Indonesia.travel focused on promoting its image as a safe and worthy country to visit, showed its diverse culture and nature as its most competitive advantages, also focusing on spreading the potential in the maritime sector. The main theme of the Indonesian pavilion was a maritime culture, and what really stood out was the Balinese architecture, the Meru Tower, the Clock Tower “Menara Kul-Kul”, its extensive rice fields, and many other attractions. SriLanka.travel: Wonder of Asia
SriLanka.travel was presented to the public under the slogan “Wonder of Asia”, as a model tourist destination that benefits from the natural advantages of the country by having the greatest biological diversity in Asia. Its exotic sandy beaches, its vast green areas, its history, its good climate, its spectacular landscapes, its rich biodiversity and its friendly and welcoming people … are a good attraction as a tourist destination. The government’s vision is, by the year 2020, to position Sri Lanka as the most treasured and greenest island in the world and to attract tourists while preserving the country’s cultural values, natural habitats and environment.
Egypt.travel: Exciting and unbeatable destination
Egypt.travel returned to the fair in 2018 with a bigger stand, and it was promoted as an exciting and unbeatable destination that has not lost its splendor. The German market is very important for the country; the number of German tourists who visited Egypt last year was 1.234 million, and they emphasized the work that is being done to increase this figure by the end of the current year.

Argentina.travel: A little inspiration from Argentina
Diversity of landscapes, cultural offers and an interesting regional gastronomy: these are some of the reasons why it is interesting to travel to Argentina.travel, which was reflected in this edition of ITB Berlin. It featured a virtual reality space, Argentina 360, and a complete agenda with multiple activities to promote the latest tourism trends and the Argentine culture to visitors. Georgia.travel: Discoveries and the silence of nature
At ITB Berlin 2018, Georgia.travel was represented by 28 tourism agencies and four state agencies. Georgia is considered a small country. However, it is not an impediment to present a rich variety of landscapes that can delight those who enjoy long walks, discoveries and the silence of nature. The IllesBalears.travel stand stood out for its design and other aspects such as sustainability, professionalism, creativity and the quality and quantity of the information offered to visitors of the Balearic exhibitor to promote all the tourist attractions offered by its islands. The cultural heritage and the projects that are financed with the Sustainable Tourism Tax (ITS) were the central focus of the ITB tourism promotion in Berlin, where the Islands participated with their own stand of 408 square meters.

Their experiential stand was a large musical box that offered small live concerts, salsa lessons, cumbia or vallenato, demonstrations of typical instruments such as the marimba and tasting of traditional dishes. Colombia received three awards at ITB Berlin, both for its stand and for being one of the most sustainable destinations on the planet.
VisitParaguay.travel: Destination located in the heart of South America
VisitParaguay.travel chose to present itself as a destination located in the heart of South America, with innovative offerings in cultural tourism, agroindustry, nature and adventure, segments that captured the attention of European tourists. Within the framework of the fair, the country promoted the Ruta de la Yerba Mate, a product promoted by the National Tourism Secretariat (Senatur), with the name in Guarani “Ka’a Rape”, as an option to encourage the southern zone and the referred native item of the country. Yerba mate is a legacy of the Guarani, and its plant has a great cultural representation in Paraguay as it is the main ingredient of the traditional drink, tereré.
ITB Berlin closed its doors with 110,000 professional visitors. During the five days of the fair, more than 10,000 exhibiting companies from 186 countries and regions gathered in the German capital in the 26 halls of the fairgrounds.
